Renovation of Hubbard Hall

Last week, the Navy awarded a nearly $14 million contract for the renovation of Hubbard Hall. Federally appropriated funds will provide redesigned and expanded locker rooms for all three Navy Crew programs (heavies, lightweights, women), more efficiently engineered boat storage areas, training rooms, and a state-of-the-art rowing tank for off-water training. Preparations for the project will start immediately, with actual work on the building scheduled to commence in early summer. The project is expected to take 12-18 months, and when complete, Navy’s boathouse will rival those of the other elite rowing programs in the nation.

The Navy and the Academy’s commitment to fund this renovation, coupled with the generous gifts all of you (along with many of your teammates and classmates) have made and continue to make in support of Navy Crew, comprise a public/private partnership that will help ensure that the Navy Crew program has the resources to compete with the best rowing programs nationally and abroad.

Thank you for all you do for Navy Crew. Row Navy!
