Speaking of the Dartmouth LW 1V’s 5/100th of a second victory over Harvard in the Biglin Bowl, Coach Steve Perry offered the following:
Technically, a bow ball is .03 seconds. I know this because Yale defeated our D150 varsity eight at the 2006 IRA by a bow ball and the official time was registered as .03 seconds. So, to answer your question I think .05 is equivalent to 6-10 inches being a bow ball is only 3-5 inches long.
