10/23/2009 – Upcoming Princeton Chase

Folks:

Blue Crews will all face off at the Princeton Chase on Sunday. 3 miles head race fashion on Lake Carnegie in Princeton, NJ. Navy women will only compete Saturday at the Head of the Schuylkill in Philadelphia.

Princeton Chase limits entries to collegiate men’s and women’s crews, so no all-star internationals this weekend.

HOCR results are now official and it appears that the Harvard LW 8+ was able to prevail in their appeal of the one minute penalty assessed for starting out of order. Official order of finish for Men’s LW 8+:
New York Athletic Club 15:28.295
Princeton 15:32.725 [includes 10 sec buoy violation]

NYAC boat included most of the members of the 2009 World Champion Silver Medalist LW 8+.

Almost all of the EARC LWs will compete Sunday at Princeton — Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Georgetown, Harvard, Navy, Penn, Princeton, Yale. It likely will be the last time this Fall to settle scores and determine who is fastest over three miles.

GO BLUE.

Cheers!
