Navy lightweight rowing began in 1954 with the seating of a varsity eight that rowed in the 1954 EARC Sprints Championship.
Since their first meeting in 2006, Navy and Delaware have met in match races frequently but not annually.
Navy leads the head-to-head competition 11 – 2.
