A late report on the opening day of racing for the Yale HW men. Competition included crews from Temple, Emory, Wesleyan, Florida Tech, Colgate, and Jacksonville. Yale was the winner in 1V8+, 2V8+, F8+ and F4+.
Rob Friedrich, Navy LW coach, reports:
“Due to finals and such, Penn had to be moved to the same weekend as Yale this year and Georgetown was thrown into the Harvard race. Because of those changes, I just recently scheduled Delaware to come down and race us at home on April 19th.”
So the good news is that there will be more racing on the Severn this Spring and Navy will have good preparation time for both the Sprints and IRAs. Here’s hoping that the Severn River conditions are cooperative.
NEXT RACING for all Yale and Navy Squads {except Navy HW Men} will be 29 March, along with Oxford & Cambridge. For those of you who are interested, the Light Blue of Cambridge and Dark Blue of Oxford will also compete among Women and LW Men’s crews on the Thames at Henley on 23 March.

Cheers!
