The weather is still mixed here in Western PA, but the rowing season begins tomorrow! Yale Heavyweights will open in a pre-season 1,500 meter contest in Tampa, FL.
Should the rowing season kick off before St. Patrick’s Day? At least it should be warm on Florida’s west coast.

The weather is still mixed here in Western PA, but the rowing season begins tomorrow! Yale Heavyweights will open in a pre-season 1,500 meter contest in Tampa, FL.
Should the rowing season kick off before St. Patrick’s Day? At least it should be warm on Florida’s west coast.
If you want to get onboard for the season, the 2008 schedules are included below for all Navy and Yale crews.
Two weeks hence {March 29th} crews of Oxford & Cambridge will compete for the 154th time over four miles on London’s Thames River. If you are interested, there is lots of good stuff at
http://www.theboatrace.org/. This year’s race will televised live on ITV1, which should be available at http://www.itv.com/sport/boatrace/. The Race begins 29 March at 1715 GMT, with ITV coverage beginning at 1615 GMT with Goldie/Isis racing and other commentary. If my calculations are correct 1615 GMT 29 March is 1215 EDT Saturday 29 March on this side of the Atlantic.
Navy LWs, Navy W, Yale HWs and Yale W will all be racing on that same Saturday. Yale LWs will open their season against Navy LWs in the 5th Eads Johnson Cup competition at Princeton, NJ.
